Best Of Powder Foundations
I’ve tried many different powder foundations over my years of wearing makeup. I’ve rated some based on the coverage, whether or not it causes breakouts, and ease of use.
How We Found the Best Powder
I looked at coverage, oil control (how shiny my face looked during the day), and acne control as well. These are all either drug store or Avon makeups, so they are easily available as well.
Our Picks For The Best Powder
Best Overall Powder
Maybelline Better Skin Powder Makeup
This is a fairly new powder foundation from Maybelline, but it is available in most drug stores. It has a spongy applicator in the package with it. It goes on smooth with a great matte finish; it also stays on great as well.
Best Oil Control Powder-Maybelline Shine Free Powder
I use this as a finishing powder on top of my makeup. It is great for controlling my oily skin during the day. It keeps me from looking greasy and shiny. It comes out of the container easily (no extra tapping), and it comes with its own little powder puff brush.
Best Mineral Makeup- Avon Smooth Minerals
Mineral makeups are great for stopping breakouts and keeping from having acne after a day of wearing it. This is one of the best I’ve tried. It covers well and kept my face feeling clean even with a full face of makeup. The one downside is that it doesn’t come with a brush, you have to get one separately.
Best Budget Mineral Makeup- Maybelline Mineral Power
This is a great mineral makeup that is easily available and affordable. It covers well and goes on easily. It comes with its own brush. It is easy to apply.
Best Acne-Fighting Makeup- Neutrogena Acne-Fighting Powder
These powders are great for fighting acne and oily skin. It covers well, and is easily available at the drug store. It comes with its own applicator, so you don’t have to worry about buying extra brushes if you don’t have them already.
